[Smac-users] How to set states of sensor nodes

Hello,

                I am working on Sensor network and i have to set states of
nodes. in my protocol a sensor node have three states Undecided, On , OFF.
 Can anyone please tell me how I can set the states of node?
Firstly, all nodes are in undecided states, when an event occurs then node
will go to set their states either ON or OFF.
Can any one tell me how can i set sates of nodes in NS-2?
