[Smac-users] about smac simulation

Hi, 
   I am conducting an simualtion on SMAC. However, it arise some questions about SMAC.
   First, I build a topology including 50 nodes. And I use cbr traffic at interval from 0.1s to 5s. And I don't use 
'Mac/SMAC set syncFlag_ 1' in tcl.When I select 10 nodes to send data to sink node, the simulation will abnormally finish. And it prints the error information 'couldn't schedule timer'. I find in most interval this problems will happen. I don't  understand why this question will happen. 
  Second, when I don't set the syncFlag_ of smac, what is the difference between SMAC and 802.11? Does that mean the
SMAC work as 802.11? or there are some difference? I also found when the energy consumption in SMAC is more than that in
802.11 when using only 5 nodes. I don't know what the reason is.
