[Smac-users] Will the backoff procedure be frozen in S-MAC like 802.11

hi everyone
    Please help me answer this question. According to the code in ns2.31, 
the backoff procedure will never be frozen, instead they will be canceled. 
But is the code right or like some paper said: the node will freeze their 
own backoff counter until the next cycle?
