[Smac-users] Power Management

Hi,
 
I am using tinyOS 1.1.0 and trying to understant the implementation of SMAC. I want to know, whether SMAC puts the microcontroller (ATmega128L) into power down mode, when SMAC is in sleep. I understant that the microcontroller runs continuously even during sleep (Processing the Clock fired every 1 ms).  I would like to confirm this and would know its details.
