Yes, you can start with the Marc Greis' Tutorial if you are starting to use NS-2: http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/tutorial/

In addition, here is (third page) an example of an FTP connexion for NS-2: http://www.cs.uc.edu/~dpa/courses/Spring2008/tutorial%20(ns).pdf
