[ns] How to assign a new address to a node

Hi all!
I have a mobile node that has been defined with a certain hierarchical address and bound to the appropriate base station, like this:

set if_1 [$ns_ node 1.0.1]
$if_1 base-station [AddrParams addr2id [$BS_umts node-addr]]

How can I change this afterwards and assign to the same node a new hierarchical address that corresponds with another base station, with which it should communicate so on? What must I modify in the c++ code?

(I have tried -MobileIP ON option, with no result. After all, I am using sctp and I don't know if that's applicable.)

Please let me know if anybody knows something about it. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Spyros
