[ns] help regarding node identification in ns2

Hi Everyone,
I am working on my thesis for localization in mobile sensor nodes.

I need to know a few things regarding ns2

1) how do I identify each node separately within the code (say there will be
two types of nodes, we will determine which type based on node
identification)

2) how do we do setdest from within the code (within our new protocol and
not from within the TCL file) ??
