No idea about NS2.31 but i think it's better to chose NS2.29 you will find more documentation.
I don't know yet why it's better in NS2.29 , it was my question.

I want to use the MIH with ns-2.31 have you tried using it? Do you have some idea on how one can modify this package for ns-2.31?
