[ns] 'Handoff Attempted' message

See following link, where it was already reported as a bug, because there
is no point of doing a Handoff in a NON-INFRASTRUCTURAL environment.
It includes a simple solution also. (Note: The asterisks (*) in the
snippet of the code are extra, ignore them...)
