[ns] estimation of available bandwidth

Hi all,

I have a wireless simulation scenario with one access point and few  
nodes that are connected to it. I want to find out if there is a way  
to know how much bandwidth is available for each of these nodes. And  
if this available bandwidth changes with time, how to find that ?  
(First of all, does the available band width change with time ? )

Can this be done easily or is this a research problem in itself ? Any  
thoughts/suggestion/pointers regarding this is greatly appreciated.
