[ns] How can I improve DSR performance in newer NS versions?

Hi all,
 
I have noticed that DSR performance in newer NS versions is very bad, mainly in large scenarios with high mobility. But it's exactly what I need to do (an ad hoc network, 60 nodes, speed 10m/s, 1200x600, 2 Mbps bandwidth and 250 range) and my DSR results are poor, so someone knows how can we solve this problem? What parameters may be changed ? Is there a way to do this?
 
I'm using NS 2.33, and if it's possible, I would like to continue using this version.
