[ns] Handoff Attempted

Hi,

I am running a MANET simulation (AODV, 802.11) in ns2.33. During my 
simulation, I get the following output from ns2:

Client 50: Handoff Attempted
Client 36: Handoff Attempted
Client 89: Handoff Attempted
[...]

It seems that this error message comes from mac/mac-802_11.cc. Could 
someone explain that to me? I would guess that the handoff is only 
applicable when using access points, but not in ad-hoc mode. Do I use 
the correct MAC protocol for MANET simulations? What is that 
Mac/Multihop protocol?
