[ns] Thermal noise for 802.11a data rates

Hi All,
I know that thermal noise is considered as part of the interference
model, but my question is that how much does this type of noise effect
the performance of the network. Could the external high temperature has
some dramatic effect on the performance which is not measured in the
interference model?
