[ns] Question about NS trace files

Hi all

How can I read information from .tr files (trace files) or .nam files, I saw a software called "Trace Graph" works on MATLAB, but I couldn't install it, does it need a specific version of MATLAB? I have version 7.4 (r2007a) but trace graph does not work on it or maybe my installation is wrong. can anybody guide me? 
Or is there another software for this mean ?
