[ns] help after adding a new agent to ns2

Dear all,
I have just renamed the ping protocol to pong..
my questions are:he 
1> after the make compiled successfully when I am trying to run the corresponding tcl scrit with the pong protocol it is giving segmentation fault ..on one m/c with Fedora core 3 instaled as th OS.
However the same script is running successfully on Redhat 9..can someone explain why?
2> next when I make some new additions to the protocol..how do i evaluate it
