[ns] Distance Vector Problems

Hi
ì've started writing a network simulator. I need
dynamic routing, so i
decided to use Distance Vector. Well the problem is
that it seems not
working. It doesnt choose the best route. I'm using a
fully
 interconnected 5
host network. I've got to send packets from a random
node to another
 one and
i've got random link costs. DV is supposed to check
link costs but it
 just
keep on sending the packets to the destinantion node
using the direct
 link.
Now...if i use Static or Session routing everything is
OK and...if the
source node is not directly connected to the
destination node, i get
 the DV
working as well....Is there anything i dunno about DV
routing or it's
 just a
bad implementation problem??
