[ns] Rx Threshold calculation when using Ricean fading model

Hi all,

I have a simple question. I am running a scenarion consisting of a 5x5 grid of static nodes using AODV protocol. I am using Ricean fading model instead of the TwoRayGround. I have calculated the RxThreshold and the CSThresold using the threshold.o utility in ns-2 by setting the propagation parameter as the TwoRayGround (I have asked about this and the answer is that I must use the TwoRagGround to calaculate the threshold even though I am using ricean). I have set the transmission range equal to 250 m, what I have realized that broadcasted packets can be heard at a distance greater than 250 (about 370 m) and they are received successfully but this would not happen when I am using TwoRwyGround. This is must not happen right? no successful transmission must happen after 250m. but where is the error? is it in calculating the RXThreshold when using the Ricean? please help me.

  thanks,
   gaby
