[ns] Understanding ns_tcl.cc - Is is autocreated?

Hi list,

I am trying to figure out the mw-node patch and whilst doing this I was
wondering if anybody has some experience with the fiel *ns_tcl.cc*

Whenever I do a full text search for some code fragment there is bound
to be a hit somewhere in this file. It looks rather clunky to me
(containing a static char with >20000 lines) and I was wondering if
anybody knows any specifics about this file. What does it do, how is it
created and of the most interest to me: Do I need to change it manually
or is it just the addition of all the other tcl files in the source code
tree?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
