[ns] mapping problem

Hello,
                   If i change the any .tcl file in ns/eurane,have i got to change the .cc file also? Is the mapping done automatically or do we need to affect the changes?Because i have created the topologies as required for a network by changing the .tcl file.Still some problem with timer is occurring.Could anybody help me out in this regard.Any suggestions are welcome.
