Hi,
you have to follow this two steps procedure:

1) first you should compute propagation loss at distance 1600 m, using
your specific scenario parameters (Pt, frequency, propagation
model, ...).
Ns-2 has an utility named "threshold" that does this; it is contained in
directory "ns-2.31/indep-utils/propagation/".


2) You should set RX and Carrier Sense threshold parameters of wireless
channel, using value obtained from "threshold" utility:

Phy/WirelessPhy set CSThresh_ YOUR VALUE
Phy/WirelessPhy set RXThresh_ YOUR VALUE
