[ns] required data quantity and total time of transmission

I have to  send a required data on tcp.

a-) for example 10 mb by 1000 bytes
data segments. I can arrange the data segment quantity but,  i  don't know
how i can  arrange the total data quantity.
b-)and hoe can i find  total time of transmission of tcp.
