[ns] Clusters and spreading codes in LEACH in NS 2

Hallo all,
  
  can anybody explain me regarding to the below script, in realtion with  knowledge of the CDMA and number of clusters in LEACH; also the  familliarity with LEACH in practice and simulation.
   In the lines after the script below, the author of these script  always using number of spreading instead of number of cluster to DEFINE  number of cluster head in this LEACH protocol.(it means it is different  with what we define at the beginning) Is it correct or not? 
  Am I correct that spreading code is always in the power of 2 value, if  the below script correct then the definition of spreading code is  omitted.
