[ns] Under what linux distribution did you make Qiang's edcf code work?

Hi!

If you use Dr. Qiang's edcf code, could you please write under what linux 
distribution you use it and how you made it work. Thank you!!!

This code should be compiled with gcc-2.96 only. I could compile the code 
only under RedHat 7.3 (it has gcc-2.96). I don't want to use RedHat 7.3. I 
installed gcc-2.96 under SuSe 9.2, but the code didn't compile. There were 
problems with some core libraries that SuSe 9.2 has and I couldn't replace 
those libraries with the older versions that are required by gcc-2.96...

Does everybody use RedHat 7.3??? Please, share your experience...
