Hi Asad,

Sorry for the long time to responde.

As I look to your tcl file, I see that you probably created a new routing
protocol, right?

So I guess the problem is in your protocol, did you try this script in AODV
for instance??

Dear Tiago,

Thanks for your prompt response. Your r right that i was not setting idle
power. I set all the power related parameters but i still got the same
problem. All the sensor nodedie at the same time. I ll appreciate your help.
I have attached the tcl script file. Please guide me if there is something
wrong in it. Or if u have any script that takes these paramters. thanks

Asad

Hi,
I only can see one think to that happened... you need also to indicate the
idle consumption of the node, perhaps this variable is much too high when
compared with Tx and Rx.

Subject: [ns] Energy Model in NS2

Dear Users of NS2,
I need to take some results regarding energy consumption of my protocol. I m
wondering about the behaviour of Energy Model class in NS2.
I set some initial energy for say 50 nodes. Some nodes r generating traffic
and sending packets to Base station in WSN while the others r silent and
just broadcasting periodic beacons. But after some time, Although the
traffic generating nodes consume much mor! e energy than the silent nodes
but
all the nodes loose thier energy at almost same time. I expect that only the
traffic source nodes loose battery power not the silent nodes.
It seems that all the nodes share the same energy and die at the same time.
Whats fact ? please help me. i m stuck at this point.

Thanks,
Asad
