[ns] DSR performance in different ns versions

Hi all,

This question has been posted before, but i couldn't find a conclusion from 
the postings.

my simulation scenario as follows:
field 1500 x 1500m
packet rate 4pkts/s
20 sending nodes
total nodes 100
pause time 600s

in ns2.17b, the pdr for DSR is 0.997482945189367
ns 2.26 pdr = 0.149447
ns 2.28 pdr = 0.394864318299393

which version is more accurate?

There was a proposed solution to set the packet rate down to 1 packet per 
second.
Then all versions of the simulator behaved similar.

This cannot solve my problem, i need to do performance measurements.

Please advise how to go about it, thank you very much
