Hi! I found the solution to the problem using the patch Qihe Wang did and
already suggested to you here
(http://mailman.isi.edu/pipermail/ns-users/2005-June/050534.html).
I simply putted the ns-allinone tarball and the patch in a location where I
wish to install (usually I prefer /usr/local/src), after untarring the
tarball, I applied the patch with "patch -p0 < ns228-gcc40.patch" (without
quotes) and then I ran ./install.
All went fine and I'm happily running ns!
