[ns] Disabling Hello Messages in AODV implementation in ns2.28

hello everyone,

I am trying to simulate wireless networks according to scenarios mentioned 
in Paper -- "Performance comparision of Wireless Ad Hoc Networks " by Josh 
Broch, David Maltz, David Johnson and others.

They have used a variation of AODV called AODV-LL which disables HELLO 
messages and just relies on link layer feedbacks to detect link breaks.

Can anyone tell me how to disable Hello Messages in AODV implementation in 
ns 2.28. I looked at the code files but there's no flag to enable or disable 
this. Please let me know
