[ns] security with ns-2 ?

Hi all,
we are dealing with the simulation of a military WLAN.
it is easy to understand that we are going to address the main issue of 
security.
Is ns-2 a suitable tool to address such a topic?
As far as we know, ns-2 doesn't implement any security feature, is this 
correct?

In particular, likely we need to model some of the following aspects:

    - VPN
    - Firewall
    - Criptography
    - SSL
    - HTTPS
    - ect.

Do you know any referece to works related to these issues?
Or maybe ns-2 is not able to support our work and a different tool (such 
as OPNET) could be a better choice?
