I am trying to simulate that elementary scenario (in
ns-2.1b6 with mobiwan extension). For Mobile IP case
(I just modified wireless3.tcl of Mark Greis
tutorial), it worked. But when I tried to simulate it
with Mipv6 (modified the simple-mipv6.tcl) file, it is
behaving weirdly. The packets are going from
W(0)-W(1)-W(2) always - no matter where the mobile
node is. I traced the mobile node's position in both
"Mobile IP" & "Mipv6" scenario case, they are exactly
the same - I mean in both cases, the mobile node is in
the same position at a given time. But in Mobile IP
case, the packets are tunnelled from the HA to the FA
(as expected) after some period of time but in case of
Mipv6, it neither sends directly to FA (from CN) nor
the HA tunnels them to FA.
And facing the same **old problem of not being able to
get agentTrace and routerTrace ON. It's default is OFF
for mipv6. One ns-user (Neill) was kind enough to send
his script (which worked for him with agentTrace &
routerTrace ON) but for my case, it's the same output.
Could anybody help? I can send you both the "mobile
IP" & "Mipv6" scenario files if you are interested.
Thanks in advance
Mahtab
