[ns] regarding AODV and range

Hi all,
According to this transmission range, if I set this to 250 m, the X
and Y axis are not in metres. Are they? I tried to use the variable
set radius to 100 and then I placed node A in (1,1) and node B in
(1,50) and they weren't able to communicate. Does it mean that that
the set radius value is not in metres?
I need to know this measure so as to place the nodes in their limits
of the transmission range for the simulation. Are the set radius,
transmission range and node X an Y length working in different units
of measurement?
thanks again
Xavi
