[ns] How to make "link failure" during simulation

Dear ns-users,

Does anybody know how to shutdown a link during the simulation?
I tried to use tcl.eval("$ns rtmodel-at now down $n0 $n1"), but it didn't
work, it seems to me because rtmodel is initialized before starting the
simulation. If it is impossible to shutdown links manually using rtmodel,
may be are there some other ways to do this? Please help.
