[ns] problems with ns2.27 on cygwin

hi,

when i try to install ns2.27 on cygwin it does a check for the diff
package and says that diff package is not installed. i tried downloading
diffutils from several sources and installing it but it gives the same
message. i installed cygwin on an xp machine. can i proceed installing ns
without the diff package?
