[ns] INTRUSION DETECTION :PLEASE HELP

hi i am post graduate student 

intrusion detection in adhoc network is my thesis work 

i want to simulate it in NS 

i am familiar with snort but dont know how to proceed in NS 

please any one send some useful pointers

from where i can proceed
