I have actually done the exercise to make blueware + ns2.1b9 to compile with a modern
gcc compiler. There are some problems with namespaces and deprecated STL
data-structures. But even when I fixed them, and it all compiled I couldn't get it
to run. It took me too much time to fix, so I decided to cancel.

Are you aware of UCBT from Qihe Wang?
Maybe UCBT supports the Bluetooth functionality you are looking for and
if so, you won't need to port Blueware to ns2.27. UCBT can be found
here: http://www.ececs.uc.edu/~qwang/ But on the other hand, I believe
UCBT is in an early development phase, which might mean other problems.
So far, I have not tried UCBT.

Regards,
Martin.
