[ns] installation problem of ns-2.1b5

hiiii frens,
while i am trying to install NS-2.1b5 , the installation failed and gave the following error:

make: *** [random.o] Error 1
Ns make failed! Exiting ...
plz help me in this matter, i tried to manipulate the function declaration in line 260 but still it was giving some other error.
