[ns] Example of mobile ad hoc networks

Hi,

I'm building a simulation of an ad hoc network and have a couple of
questions.

First, should I be using the cmu-traces, or the new trace format, or
the old one on these simulations? Which one is the supported format for
future?

Second, if I wish to collect statistics of packet overhead, and dropped
packets, etc. I understand that I should use monitors. But the basic
monitors described in the documentation are for links between n1 and n2,
which makes me wonder, if I'm supposed to use some other kinds (since
radio network doesn't have stable links).

I would be greatful, if someone could post a simple example wireless
scenario that uses monitors for these purposes. Thank you in advance for
