[ns] get help

Hi I'm new using ns-2 and I want to create a movement
file using setdest.
I followed the steps:
run "configure"
After that I get a Makefile, but the next step says:
Run "make", but I have not in the directory so what
can I do.

I would thank you if you help. 
another question can I get  a executable setdest in
other way.
