I am new to ns-2 and would like to use it for simulation. It was
recommended to me for simulations on ad hoc scenarios. I initially tried
installing it on win32 but couldn't start as i was receiving message of
backward compatibility. I then installed it on Linux 3.0 (Debian). The ns-2
i have is ns-allinone-2.18b8a. I have started from the tutorials by Greis
but hit a snug as i got the same error when i tried the first example.
I typed on the command line: ns simple.tcl and got the message: warning:
using backward compatibility mode error when calling class OldSim:
simple.tcl . Where am i going wrong? I cannot find answer to this on the
suggested headings...
Thanks in advance.
