hai sir,
this is ravi(IV B.Tech,CSE) from Pondicherry Engg.
College located in India
i am doing my final year porject "Simulation of QoS
in IP networks"
a part of the project we are doing in Network
Simulator. we have some problems in programming,
please help us. the problem is briefly as follows
we created a network topology. we will generate
requests in the network.
suppose say that a request is from source (s) to
destination (d)
what we want to do is for each and every request
whether the number of packets source outputting is
equal to the number of packets received by
receiver, within the hold time of that request( hold
time is nothing but how much time the request will
take for processing it, this value will be supplied by
us)
by reading ns-manual i understood that we can do this
by monitoring( by which we can genreate counts of
packet arrivals,drops etc.) and tracing.
i saw functions such as
create-trace,init-monitor,attch-monitor etc. but i
don't know how to use them. these functions are
provided in classes in ns/trace.cc
but how to link .cc file to a tcl script
so please suggest some examples (related to monitoring
)which will help me in solving my problem and some
sites which i can visit for clearing my doubts
i look forward for ur help
your sincerely
