[ns] output port of router implementation

hello,

i would like to implement an algorithm at the output port of the router, 
handling/fiddling with packets for congestion control.  i'm new to ns and 
need some tips, where exactly to modify/implement the algorithm & 
code.  I've installed ns v2.1b7a on Linux6.2.
