[ns] Problem In ip.h ?

Hi ns users,
I have the version 6 of NS. I have found in the "ip.h" file the tow
parameter ["sprot_"] and ["dprot_"] desactivated by a commentary. 
they are declared as follow preceeded by the double-slash (//)
//   u_int16_t sport_
//   u_int16_t dport_
I don't know how they are not activ ?
In the version 5 they are declared normally without the double-slash
(//)
