question about trace-all

hi... all...

When I attach a tbf to one node,
the trace-all file's enqueue timestamp will be : 

1. the time when a packet leave tbf
2. the time when a packet is generated

I prefer 2.
Am I right?
If I am right, and then how can I get 
the duration a packet spend in tbf?
