The suggestion in my earlier mail does allow you to attach more than 256 
agents to a particular node (in fact that specific example allows you to 
attach 2^24 of them). There is only caveat that I should have mentioned 
earlier : if you change the default mask and shift like that ,then tracing 
might not work (for that you would need to change the # defines for mask and 
shift in config.h as well).
