Ns error

Dear Sir/Madam,

I was installing the ns package when got stopped by:
           otcl.c:1118: for each function it appears in.)
           make: *** [libotcl.a] Error 1
           otcl make failed! Exiting ...

I would appreciate if kindly tell me the reason.
