about discrete time model using ns

Hello everyone.

I'm a graduate student from Soongsil Univ.
I am the beginner of ns. :) I want to simulate
ATM switch performance using discrete time
model, but I don't have any idea about 
this modeling with ns.

In ns, discrete time modeling is available? If so,
I want to know about that method.

I'll waiting your advise.
