Comparing with MadWifi driver (high latency API as described in http://www.nsnam.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=917#c7), it seems to me that the patch proposed in
http://www.nsnam.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=917#c14 is the most promising and extensible solution.

This is my observation.
