a few remarks:

- multi-interface is supported in ns-3 by design.
- multi-channel is supported by the wifi device since ns-3.7 (with
orthogonal channels only).

So, in my opinion, what is really left to do is to develop a cognitive
routing protocol that leverages on the existing multi-channel
functionality of wifi. Of course, if you prefer to use something
different than wifi, that's another story.
