nice to hear from you. Your past experience in ns-2 can help you, however my advice is to spend a little time by reading the references for the project and by thinking about your proposal, which will be judged by all the mentors. Moreover, please share with all the mentors (not just me) your idea as soon as possible, since the application deadline is very close.
I've attached some advices given to another student:
> Dear *,
> as regards to your application, maybe you can start briefly describing what do you want to do and how after having read the following papers:
> As advice, I suggest you to review very carefully the ns-3 classes, and maybe to start thinking on a class diagram which clearly states which class does what.

> I was interested to work on implementing Mobile P2P based on MANET's on the ns-3 platform. As far as my own background and interests are concerned, I am pre-final year student, pursuing my B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. Last semester we had a course in Data Communications and I secured a "AA" in that course. I am doing a seminar this semester on Wireless Mesh Networks as a part of the course curriculum and I have developed considerable interest in the field proactive and reactive routing. I am doing ns-2 simulation of various routing protocols this semester as a part of the Computer Networks course this semester. I have worked on a project on socket programming, a Chat application based on TCP. My knowledge of C/C++ is sound enough. I am reading about various protocols in the Computer Networks course this semester.
> Please guide me on how to propose my application and what you expect me to write in the application so that I can put my best foot forward. Please reply as soon as possible so that I can forward my proposal to you and in we can come up with corrections and further enhance it.
> Thanking You
