You can contact the project mentors directly to validate your work plan. 
Also you can discuss your ideas in the mailing lists and IRC channel, 
getting feedback is key to have a good project proposal. 
Try narrowing down the scope of the project to something you can 
describe in detail, describe clearly your objectives and keep in mind 
that you will have approximately 12 weeks to write code.
