[Ns-developers] WiMax Application test suite (maybe for 3.8)

I wrote (re-wrote) four packet generation applications, the WiMax test ones to be precise.
The applications are described in "Traffic Model for 802.16 TG3 MAC/PHY Simulations", available online:
http://www.ieee802.org/16/tg3/contrib/802163c-01_30r1.pdf
The generators per-se aren't anything special, and questionable in some parts too, but they're the "standard" ones used in WiMax testing nonetheless. Plus they're very easy to implement. So, why not.
Now, I have only one thing to be sorted out:
Does anyone have any experience with using standard documents from IEEE? Can we just state "this generator is described in xxx"? The question isn't trivial, as the generators are quite non-intuitive, so the user might need to read the original document. otherwise we'll need to write detailed instructions in ns-3 documentation, possibly copy-pasting from the document itself. So, what's the best thing to do? Simply state "this does that, check the original source for details"?
Sorted that point, I'll write the docs and I'll post them for a review as usual. The main code is already working, along with an helper, so it might as well be included in ns-3.8.
Cheers,
Tommaso

The nice thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from.
And if you really don't like all the standards you just have to wait another year until the one arises you are looking for.
